Tulsi plant, also known as Ocimum tenuiflorum & holy basil is belonging to the family Lamiaceae. Tulsi plant is native to the Indian subcontinent and widespread as a cultivated plant throughout the Southeast Asian tropics.There are around 100 distinct varieties of Tulsi plant, but Rama, Krishna, Vana, and Kapoor Tulsi are perhaps the most well-known and extensively cultivated ones. Tulsi can grown up to 3-5 feets. It has aromatic leaves. In Hinduism, tulsi is worshipped as a goddess and every part of the tulsi plant is revered and considered sacred, including the leaves, stem, flower, root, seeds and oil. In Ayurveda, Juice of Tulsi leaves is used in treating ringworm and skin disorders. For skin problems, the mix of Tulsi and Aloe Vera juice is beneficial. You should have tulsi plant at your home.
