Ixora plant, also known as west indian jasmine is evergreen flowering shrub in the family Rubiaceae. Ixora plant is native to the tropical and subtropical areas throughout the world, its centre of diversity is in Tropical Asia. Ixora plant can grow up to 4–6 ft. Dwarf varieties of ixora plant is one of the best looking ornamental plant which can grow up to 1.5 – 2 ft. The large flower clusters come in red, orange, yellow, and pink. Blooms are clusters of four petaled florets which can last four to six weeks on the stem. Ixora is sun-loving plant but you have to protect it from summer direct sunlight. Dwarf variety is best choice for low maintenance evergreen & flowering plant.
